XXL O-rings for large diameters

For very large diameters, bonded or joint-vulcanized cord rings are often only a temporary solution. INNSEALS offers XXL O-rings manufactured using a special process without a joint. Production is based on traditional compression molds. This enables very good mechanical material properties to be achieved even with large dimensions.

Dimensions

Inside diameter from 200 to 9,000 mm

Cross-sections from Ø 2.62 to Ø 40 mm

Customer-specific dimensions on request

Materials

  • NBR
  • HNBR
  • FKM
  • EPDM
  • FFKM
  • VMQ
  • FEPM
  • CR

Advantages

  • No joints
  • Large inside diameters can be achieved
  • No tooling costs
  • No minimum order quantities
  • Competitive prices
  • Fast delivery times through Xpress manufacturing
  • Customer-specific dimensions available

Personalization

O-rings can be personalized on request. For this purpose, INNSEALS uses a printing technology that allows custom text to be placed on the O-ring without affecting the surface. Personalization is available from a cross-section of Ø 3.53 mm.

Mini O-Rings and MiniRings

Mini O-rings, also known as MiniRings, are designed for applications with very small installation spaces. Despite their small size, they provide reliable sealing properties and are suitable for precise technical assemblies.

Dimensions

Inside diameter from 0.50 mm
Cross-section from 0.30 mm

Application

  • Precision mechanics
  • Medical instruments
  • Chronographs
  • Model making
  • Small technical assemblies

FEP/PFA-encapsulated O-rings

FEP/PFA-encapsulated O-rings combine the elastic properties of the core material with the high chemical resistance of an FEP or PFA encapsulation. They are particularly suitable for aggressive media, demanding chemicals and extreme ambient conditions.

These O-rings offer high chemical resistance, a wide temperature range, low friction and good non-stick properties.

Temperature Ranges

FEP encapsulation: -60 °C to +205 °C, briefly up to +260 °C

PFA encapsulation: -60 °C to +260 °C, briefly up to +300 °C

Advantages

  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Wide temperature range
  • High pressure resistance
  • Non-stick properties
  • Low friction
  • Self-lubricating surface
  • Low gas permeation
  • Cost-effective and reliable sealing solution

Available Cross-Sections

FEP silicone and FEP Viton are available in all common standard cross-sections:

1.78 | 1.80 | 2.00 | 2.40 | 2.50 | 2.62 | 3.00 | 3.50 | 3.53 | 4.00 | 5.00 | 5.33 | 5.70 | 6.00 | 6.99 | 7.00 mm

Custom dimensions can also be produced at short notice. In addition, FEP silicone Camlock gaskets from ½” to 3″ are available.

FFKM O-rings and FFKM seals

FFKM seals are designed for particularly demanding applications. They offer very high resistance to aggressive liquids and gases and are suitable for application areas with high thermal and chemical loads.

Depending on the design, temperature ranges from -40 °C to +320 °C are possible.

Typical Application Areas

  • Aggressive chemicals
  • High temperatures
  • Demanding process media
  • High requirements for resistance and service life
  • Sensitive industrial and process applications

Coated O-rings

Coatings can specifically improve the function of an O-ring. They reduce friction, facilitate installation, support lubrication or increase resistance to certain operating conditions.

INNSEALS offers various coating options matched to the application, material, medium and installation situation.

Possible Coatings

  • Molykote
  • Talcing
  • Silicone coating
  • PTFE
  • PTFE-FDA
  • PTFE-TR
  • LABS-free coating

Your FAQs Answered

Frequently Asked Questions:

An O-ring is a ring-shaped seal made of elastic material. It is used to reliably seal two components and prevent the escape of liquids or gases.

O-Ringe kommen in vielen Bereichen zum Einsatz, z. B. in Hydrauliksystemen, Pneumatik, Maschinenbau und Automobilindustrie. Sie dichten statische und dynamische Verbindungen ab.

O-rings are manufactured from various elastomers, such as NBR, FKM (Viton), EPDM or silicone. The material choice depends on temperature, medium and operating conditions.

Inner diameter, cord diameter, material and operating conditions such as temperature, pressure and media resistance are important. Precise matching prevents premature wear.

Service life depends on material, load and environmental conditions. With correct selection and application, O-rings can be very long-lasting, but wear faster under extreme conditions.
